Stu Tobin

Board Member

Stu Tobin holds a B.A. in Economics from UMass Amherst.  His early career was spent in sales (Procter & Gamble) and advertising (Lintas: NY & The William Esty Advertising Co.).

He spent 16 years as a stay at home dad with his three now grown children, they all survived…and thrived.

His next chapter was forming Thunderbolt Global Logistics in 2007 here in Baltimore with a childhood friend. Stu was the administrative side of the business helping grow the firm to 16 employees and $11m in sales. In January of 2020, Stu sold his shares and joined his wife LeAnn in retirement.

Much of Stu’s life has consisted of volunteering.  In August of 2020, Stu was introduced to Innovation Works Baltimore (IW), the Social Entrepreneurial enterprise working with Chester France to help him bring his dream of Lifting Labels (LL) to market. Shortly after becoming a Business Mentor with IW, Stu was paired with Chester as his business advisor. Through his work and passion on behalf of LL, Stu was invited to join the board in March of 2021.
